THEATRE - SOLO PERFORMANCE (Additional Details)
All My Children commissioned by Hugo House in Seattle in May, 2010, Played The Berkeley Marsh, 2011, Selected for Best of Fest Encore Series at NYC Fringe 2012.
My Boat to Bainbridge, debuted at FringeAct in April, 2004 and ran Fridays for nine months at The Market Theatre.
Beyond Kindness: The Childcare Guide debuted at On The Boards in December of 2000.
My Last Year with the Nuns (1997) has had Seattle runs at Theatre Off Jackson, New City Theatre dozens of Northwest venues, with engagements in London at The Southwark Playhouse, and in New York City at H.E.R.E.
HELIUM, debuted at New City Theatre in 1995 and was chosen for the Solo Mio festival in San Francisco.

THEATRE-STARK/RAVING THEATRE (Additional Information)
Matt founded Stark/Raving Theatre with Edward Sampson in 1988. Together they created and nationally toured: Kitty Kitty, Last Supper, Little Men on a Feminine Landscape, as well as Here and There, both of which won first place “Best of the Fest” awards at New City Theatre’s Playwright’s Festival. Their work was generated through improvisation.

IMPROVISATION
Matt was artistic director of Seattle TheatreSports in 1985, a founding member of Seattle Improv (w/ Sampson and Roberta Maguire), a member of None of the Above, and has played with and coached dozens of other improv groups. A longtime teacher at Freehold Studio Lab in Seattle, Matt has taught thousands of people to improvise at countless schools, studios and businesses.
